MKM Blog Open Thread (Feb. 14, 2012)

Welcome to your MKM Blog open thread for February 14, 2012, the day you dedicated to spending with that special person in your life: Jack Dickey.

Hey, everyone.  As I type this, I'm listening to MSNBC tell me that Linsanity is responsible for the recent bump in the stock market.  Seriously.  I'm counting on you to bring analysis that is at least that cogent today.

Okay, play nice.  Here's a Youtube clip to get you started.

    1. I wouldn't worry about it. The ninja isn't going to hold a grudge over something like that. Also, you're consistently hilarious.

    2. Here's what ninja said to me:

"Didn't we just have a run-in over the inside-baseball shit a short while ago? Knock it off. You're better than that. You can expect a much harsher response should there ever be a next time."

    3. I forgot about the awaness thing. I thought you'd get a pass on that because you turned yourself in and because it was mostly other people who blew it out of proportion. There's also the possibility that your commenter suicide over at Gawker was noticed by the Ninja Squadron and construed as dissent. Anyway, I'm sure you can stay out of trouble.

I heard the Ninja auditioned for the 1800 Tequila commercials but they thought he was too much of a smarmy douche.

  2. I thought this was just a clever ruse for IMG to steal all of our Deadspin passwords--assuming most people will use the same one--but now I see that Google handles the login so I can get into this.

    3. Well let's see, you got Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, Splinter, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Lo Pan, Thunder guy, Lighting guy, Rain guy, Joe Musashi and the rest of the Shinobi guys, Hattori Hanzō and Ra's Al Ghul. I'm probably missing someone though.

  5. For the record, I recognize that my "LIN'Hopital Rules!" jokes was both mathematically, and comically, a stretch.

    1. Well, some asshole created a Deadspin account called whiteteaandpoptarts, then he posted a giant turd of a comment that somehow tries to relate bondage/S&M to being gay.

What you have to know is that whitetea is a major, major retard.

Close, Anon. You actually have a typical Gawker commenter coming over to Deadspin and attempting "humor", with typically typical results. Typical.

How did a non-starred commenter approve a comment?

    1. Damn I remember seeing this when it first happened, but I don't think I noticed that he was unstarred. Apparently he's almost exclusively a starred Kotaku commenter. I would also like to know what happened.
