MKMOT/50 Days of HATE- Day 42 (October 29, 2012)

Man, am I ever drained. DRAINED! Not from balogging, but from all the other obligations of my daily life. As a brilliant and clever man once said, "Life is a highway," and mine has been like an Autobahn lately.

So, as expected, this post is coming out late (LIKE ANDERSON COOPER!1!1!!!), especially for you East Coasters. I sincerely apologize for what is obviously the biggest disruption in all of your lives on this otherwise worry-free day.

Will this be the first comment-free post in balog history? A study of recent trends would seem to suggest the possibility. Oh, the excitement! Here's a horrible song to commemorate this potentially epic day. It's open.

  2. The evolution of Counting Crows, as perceived radio program directors..
    1993: They're Alternative!
    1999: They're Adult Contemporary.
    2004: They're a horseshit pop band.

  3. Good luck to everyone on the East Coast. I hope only some of you die. Well, just one in particular.

  4. I was really getting tired of Deadspin as funny sports-related site, and welcome its complete transformation into an unfunny compilation of hurricane-related local news stories that have no plausible connection to sports.

  5. Just wanted to pop in and talk about all the .gifs. I love 'em and they're the best and that's all there is to it.

    1. For those who are not as enamored as Mr. Hammer, and who are using Chrome, you might try Gif Stopper. It doesn't appear to be 100%, but it does help.

    2. And now I can't access any Gawker sites. Don't know if it's this silly program or Gawker with issues. Will keep poking at it.

    3. They should've asked me how to protect servers and preserve electrical grid integrity while they had the chance...

    4. Tested the Gif stopper. You can set it to automatically stop gif's, or set it so you need to hit the escape key to stop them. In either case the pictures disappear completely. Wouldn't mind if it left the picture up but I like it.

    6. Should have prefixed that with @Bronzehammer.

  6. It's probably that little storm, Erg. Get off deadspin once in a while and watch the news.

Also, who goes to Deadspin for sports? I thought it was a parenting / foodie site.

  7. Looks like a certain nightly forum is down for the count.

If only there was another place for a Venn diagram of jerks to make self-amusing, unmoderated comments below a lazy write-up and a music clip.

    Oh well.

    2. Don't forget. You asked for it. This seems appropriate.

      Storm Front

And for @Anonymous: I had to quit watching the news. All those weather people running around with their little weenies hard because, "OMIGOD! WE'RE IMPORTANT NOW!" just got to be a little much.

  9. If your team isn't able to win the Superbowl, how many of you would like to see the Falcons go undefeated, heh, just to shut up the 1972 Miami Dolphins?
